STATEMENT OF FAITH

What We Believe

Hope at the Table Ministries

Where Every Story Has a Seat.

Our Foundation Is the Word of God

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”
Psalm 119:130 KJV

Hope at the Table Ministries exists to point people to Yahushua (Jesus Christ), strengthen the Body of Christ, and encourage believers to grow deeper in truth, surrender, obedience, and discipleship.

Our faith is not founded upon denominations, institutions, traditions, personalities, or human authority, but upon the living Word of God.

We seek to examine all teaching through Scripture, remaining humble, teachable, and willing to receive correction in love.

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures are inspired by God and are authoritative for faith, doctrine, correction, instruction, and righteous living.

Scripture must be approached with humility, prayer, careful study, and dependence upon the Holy Spirit.

Human teachings and traditions must be tested against the written Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12; Acts 17:11

2. The One True God

We believe there is one eternal, living, holy, righteous, and sovereign God, the Creator of heaven and earth.

He is the source of life, truth, wisdom, mercy, justice, and love.

All creation exists through His power and for His glory.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-6; Genesis 1:1; Revelation 4:11

3. Our Heavenly Father

We believe our Heavenly Father is holy, loving, merciful, righteous, and faithful.

He calls His children into relationship with Himself, instructing, correcting, disciplining, and nurturing them according to His wisdom and purposes.

We seek His will above our own and desire to glorify Him through surrendered lives.

Matthew 6:9-10; Hebrews 12:5-11; James 1:17; 1 John 3:1

4. Yahushua — Jesus Christ

We believe Yahushua (Jesus Christ) is the promised Messiah, the Son of God, and the only Savior through whom we receive salvation.

He came in the flesh, lived without sin, proclaimed the Kingdom of God, died for our sins, and rose bodily from the dead.

Through Him we receive forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and the promise of eternal life.

He is the Head of His Body, and we are called to follow His example in humility, love, truth, and obedience.

John 1:1-14; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Colossians 1:15-20

5. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit, Ruach HaQodesh, is given to believers to dwell within them, guide them into truth, convict, teach, comfort, empower, and equip them for God’s purposes.

The Holy Spirit produces spiritual fruit, distributes gifts according to God’s will, and strengthens believers for witness and service.

All spiritual experiences, impressions, and teachings must be tested according to Scripture.

John 14:16-17; John 16:13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 1 John 4:1

6. Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Yahushua (Jesus Christ), not earned by human works or religious performance.

All people have sinned and are in need of God’s forgiveness.

Through repentance and faith in Christ, we receive forgiveness and new life in Him.

Genuine faith produces a transformed life characterized by growing obedience and good works.

Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-10; Acts 3:19; James 2:17

7. Repentance, Surrender & Obedience

We believe followers of Christ are called to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him.

Repentance involves turning from sin toward God, while surrender involves yielding our lives, desires, ambitions, and decisions to His will.

Obedience is not the means by which salvation is purchased, but the fruit of genuine faith and love toward our Lord.

Luke 9:23; John 14:15; Romans 12:1-2; James 1:22

8. Spiritual Growth & Sanctification

We believe the Christian life is a continual process of spiritual growth, renewal, correction, and maturity.

Our Heavenly Father works within His children to shape their character, deepen their faith, and produce increasing likeness to Christ.

We recognize that spiritual maturity requires humility, perseverance, repentance, and dependence upon God.

Philippians 1:6; Philippians 2:12-13; John 15:1-5; 2 Peter 3:18

9. The Fruit of the Holy Spirit

We believe spiritual maturity is demonstrated through the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

  • Love
  • Joy
  • Peace
  • Longsuffering
  • Gentleness
  • Goodness
  • Faith
  • Meekness
  • Temperance

Spiritual gifts must never become a substitute for godly character, genuine love, or obedience to Scripture.

Galatians 5:22-23; John 15:8; 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

10. Spiritual Gifts & Ministry

We believe the Holy Spirit equips members of the Body of Christ with gifts and abilities for service, ministry, edification, and the glory of God.

These gifts are not given to elevate individuals or create spiritual superiority.

They are to be exercised with humility, love, accountability, and biblical discernment.

Every member has a responsibility to contribute to the building up of the Body.

Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12; 1 Corinthians 13; Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Peter 4:10-11

11. The Body of Christ

We believe the Body of Christ consists of those who belong to Him through faith.

Christ alone is the Head of His Body.

Believers are called to fellowship, discipleship, mutual encouragement, accountability, and service.

No individual congregation, denomination, institution, or ministry represents the fullness of Christ’s Body.

We seek to encourage faithful relationships among believers while remaining grounded in biblical truth.

Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 10:24-25

12. Oneness & Unity in Truth

We believe our Lord calls His people into spiritual oneness rooted in Him.

This begins with each believer growing in relationship and obedience to God, then extends outward through families, local congregations, and the broader Body of Christ.

Biblical unity is not the abandonment of truth, nor does it require ignoring sin, error, or doctrinal differences.

We seek unity through truth, humility, love, mutual submission, and the work of the Holy Spirit.

John 17:20-23; Ephesians 4:1-6; Ephesians 4:15-16; Psalm 133:1

13. Biblical Correction & Discernment

We believe God’s Word provides the standard for testing doctrine, conduct, and spiritual teaching.

Believers should be humble and teachable, willing to receive correction and prepared to correct others with patience, gentleness, and love.

Correction should seek repentance, restoration, and spiritual growth, rather than personal superiority or condemnation.

Matthew 18:15-17; Galatians 6:1; 2 Timothy 2:24-25; 2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:21

14. Prayer & Communion With God

We believe prayer is an essential part of our relationship with our Heavenly Father.

We are called to pray with faith, humility, thanksgiving, repentance, and submission to His will.

The Holy Spirit helps believers in their weakness and guides them in prayer.

Matthew 6:6-13; Romans 8:26-27; Philippians 4:6-7; 1 Thessalonians 5:17

15. Evangelism & Discipleship

We believe followers of Christ are called to proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, teach obedience to His commands, and bear witness to His truth throughout the world.

The mission is not merely to gain followers or establish organizations, but to direct people toward Christ and encourage genuine spiritual growth.

Every believer has opportunities to represent Christ through words, conduct, relationships, and faithful service.

Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

16. The Return of Christ & Eternal Hope

We believe Yahushua (Jesus Christ) will return according to the promises of Scripture.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, God’s righteous judgment, and the eternal hope promised to those who belong to Christ.

Our calling is to remain faithful, watchful, prepared, and obedient while awaiting His return.

John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelation 21:1-4

Our Ministry Commitment

Hope at the Table Ministries is not established to promote one denomination above another.

We seek to encourage believers to examine Scripture, follow Christ faithfully, grow in spiritual maturity, and build authentic relationships throughout His Body.

Our emphasis is not upon titles, recognition, personal platforms, or institutional influence, but upon glorifying our Heavenly Father through surrendered obedience and service.

We welcome respectful biblical discussion and recognize the importance of humility as we continue growing in the knowledge of God.

One Body. One Spirit. One Lord.

“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”

John 17:21 KJV

We desire to see the Body of Christ grow together in truth, oneness, humility, love, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

All for His Glory.
