Every Child of God Has a Calling
Our calling begins not with a title, position, institution, or ministry, but with Yahushua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ).
Before we can faithfully serve others, we must first surrender ourselves to the Father, allowing the Ruach HaQodesh (Holy Spirit) to transform our hearts, renew our minds, and bring our lives into obedience to His Word.
Every member of the Body of Christ has a purpose. Though our gifts, responsibilities, and assignments may differ, we are all called to serve the same Lord.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10 — KJV
The calling is not about becoming someone important. It is about becoming a willing servant through whom God can accomplish His purposes.

Throughout Scripture, we see how God prepares those whom He calls.
He called Moses, prepared David, spoke to Jeremiah, restored Peter, and commissioned Paul.
Their journeys differed, but each required faith, obedience, humility, and dependence upon God.
Preparation does not always come through comfort. Often, it involves seasons of waiting, correction, discipline, testing, and surrender.
“And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart…”
Deuteronomy 8:2 — KJV
God’s preparation is not simply about developing abilities. It is about shaping character, producing spiritual fruit, and teaching His children to depend upon Him rather than themselves.
The calling must never become greater than the One who calls.
Equipping the Body,
Not Elevating Titles
Apostle
Sent to serve and help establish the work.
Prophet
Proclaims God’s message in faithfulness to His Word.
Evangelist
Proclaims the Gospel of Yahushua HaMashiach.
Pastor
Shepherds and cares for God’s people.
Teacher
Instructs and equips believers in the truth.
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”
These ministries were given by Christ to equip His people, strengthen the Body, and encourage spiritual maturity.
They are not positions established for personal recognition, superiority, or control.
The apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher have different responsibilities, but their work is directed toward one purpose: building up the Body of Christ under the headship of Yahushua.
No gift removes the need for humility, accountability, correction, or obedience to Scripture.
The fruit of the Spirit must never be overshadowed by the gifts of the Spirit.
From Personal Surrender
to Oneness in Christ
The work begins within each of us.
As we grow in our relationship with the Father through Yahushua, the Ruach HaQodesh teaches us to walk in truth, love, humility, and obedience.
That transformation should become visible in our relationships—with family, fellow believers, local congregations, and the worldwide Body of Christ.
Through Christ
Yahushua prayed:
“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us…”
John 17:21 — KJV
Oneness does not require every believer to have the same assignment, background, or function.
Rather, we are called to belong to one Body under one Head, growing together in truth and love.
Our calling is not to build separate kingdoms for ourselves, but to serve the Kingdom of God.
The Calling Behind
Hope at the Table Ministries
Hope at the Table Ministries grew out of a journey of surrender, preparation, correction, and learning to trust the Father.
For years, experiences involving family, counseling, recovery ministry, relationships, hardship, and service were shaping a path whose greater purpose was not yet fully understood.
Through seasons of brokenness, restoration, waiting, and renewed obedience, the calling became clearer: to share the Gospel, encourage those who feel unseen or unheard, build authentic relationships, and help strengthen connections throughout the Body of Christ.
What began through personal testimony and service has developed into traveling missionary outreach, discipleship, encouragement, and efforts to connect believers, congregations, ministries, and Christian leaders.
The purpose is not to establish another denomination, elevate an individual, or seek recognition.
It is to point people to Yahushua HaMashiach, encourage obedience to His Word, and serve wherever the Father opens doors.
The journey continues, and the learning never ends.
“He must increase, but I must decrease.”

The Invitation to Respond
God calls His children not merely to hear His Word, but to respond.
Some are called to preach, some to teach, some to encourage, some to give, some to serve quietly, and others to go wherever the Father sends them.
No faithful act of obedience is insignificant.
The question is not whether we possess a title or position.
Are we willing to surrender, be taught, receive correction, and follow Yahushua wherever He leads?
“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

We are called to follow Him, grow in Him, and serve one another through Him.
